ROAD TO SOCHI
In her first year on the senior circuit, Gold earned the silver medal at 2012 Rostelecom Cup, and a pair of sixth-place finishes at the 2013 Four Continents Championships and 2013 World Championships. She then captured the 2013-14 Skate America bronze medal and a fourth-place finish at the 2013-14 NHK Trophy. Known for her strong technical skills, Gold posted record-setting scores at the 2014 National Championships, where she claimed the title and cemented her status as a medal contender in Sochi.
