ROAD TO SOCHI
Shibutani partnered with his sister, Maia Shubutani, in 2005. The duo made its debut on the senior circuit in 2010-11, and became the first ice dancing team to earn two grand prix medals in its inaugural campaign, and the first U.S. team to medal at its world championships debut. With a second-place finish at the 2014 National Championships, the Shibutanis clinched their first Olympic berth.
