Kessel is an offensively gifted player who earned several accolades during the 2012-13 season, including the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award and the NCAA title with the University of Minnesota. She is making her Olympic debut in Sochi, alongside her brother, Phil Kessel, a member of the men's hockey team.
