Griffall's success on the track led to a 2006 Olympic berth, where he placed eighth with partner Dan Joye. After teaming up with Matt Mortensen, the duo narrowly missed a spot at the Vancouver Games. Determined to earn a second Olympic appearance, Griffall and his teammate placed seventh at the 2012 World Championships and second at the 2013 National Championships.
