ROAD TO SOCHI
Hansen, the youngest U.S. luge junior world champion at 15, is having a breakout season in 2013-14. Despite a broken foot, she has secured multiple top-10 world cup finishes, including a gold medal at the final world cup stop – her first world cup victory and the first for a U.S. singles competitor since 1997 – to go along with her national championship title. Cementing her status on the international circuit, she is making her first Olympic appearance in Sochi.
