ROAD TO SOCHI
Blunck arrived on the freestyle skiing halfpipe scene by capturing the bronze medal at the 2012 Youth Olympic Winter Games. He began the 2012-13 season with his first world cup win, and his impressive runs earned him his first invite to the X Games. Landing second on the world cup halfpipe standings, Blunck clinched his first Olympic berth after after capturing the Copper Mountain U.S. Grand Prix/World Cup and posting a second-place finish at the Park City U.S. Grand Prix.
