ROAD TO SOCHI
Wise began an impressive winning streak during the 2011-12 season, claiming his first X Games gold medal, and winning both the Dew Tour and U.S. Grand Prix overall titles to finish second in the AFP halfpipe standings. He carried his momentum into the 2012-13 season, which proved to be his most successful yet. He won the world title, X Games Aspen gold and finished atop the AFP World Tour standings for halfpipe. Then, this season, he won the Breckenridge U.S. Grand Prix/World Cup and the Breckenridge Dew Tour, and claimed his third straight X Games Aspen gold medal to clinch a spot on his first Olympic Team as halfpipe skiing makes its debut.
