ROAD TO SOCHI
Bretz took some serious strides in 2009-10, including considerable success at the grand prix to qualify a spot on the 2010 Olympic Team. Although he battled nagging injuries in 2011-12, he still managed to podium at two grand prix events. In 2013, he knocked on the podium door despite tough competition at the grand prix and X Games. A victory at the first Olympic qualifier at Dew Tour in December 2013 solidified a spot on his second Olympic Team.
