ROAD TO SOCHI
2011-12 was a breakout season for Hernandez, who won nearly all the Nor-Am Cups she entered (six of eight). The following season, she quickly climbed the ranks of the world cup circuit, ending with an impressive win at the final world cup in Valmalenco, Italy. After an arm injury, she recovered and was back on the world cup tour the next winter. She finished sixth in the Montafon World Cup in December 2013 and then ninth at the Vallnord World Cup in January 2014 to secure her first Olympic appearance.
