ROAD TO SOCHI
In 2012, J.R. Celski became the first man to break the 40-second barrier in the 500-meter, setting a world-record time of 39.937. He completed the 2012-13 season with seven world cup medals before making history again during the 2013-14 campaign, when he helped the U.S. 5,000-meter relay team to its first world cup overall title. The two-time Olympic medalist is looking to return to the podium as he makes his second Olympic appearance in Sochi.
