ROAD TO SOCHI
Hansen is making his second Olympic appearance after aiding the U.S. to the silver medal in team pursuit at the 2010 Vancouver Games. He earned his first individual world cup podium during the 2012-13 circuit, and continued to impress this season, combining to win five medals at world cup stops in Calgary, Alberta, and Salt Lake City, Utah. Representing the U.S. in three long track events, he is looking to add to his overall medal haul in Sochi.

Son of John and Julie Hansen…Has one brother, Stephen…Partnered with brother to launch a startup company, Bottlebark, which makes foam sleeves for water bottles that double as a muscle relaxer…Hobbies include swimming and playing beach volleyball.
