ROAD TO SOCHI
Rookard is making her second Olympic apperance after earning two top-10 finishes at at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Prior to the 2013 World Championships, she took a break from competing and moved to Oslo, Norway, to focus on training. She returned for the 2013-14 season and set three personal records leading up to the U.S. Olympic Team Trials, where she won the 3,000-meter and finished third in the 1,500.

Daughter of the late Bill and Claire Rookard…Has five brothers — Bill, Brian, Steven, Jeffrey and Gary — and one sister, Lisa…In 1979, parents opened a roller skating business, which the family continues to operate…All siblings competed in roller skating at the national level…Hobbies include roller skating, reading, cooking, practicing zumba, and playing water sports, hockey and volleyball.
